About The Editor
Nicki Richesin is the editor of four anthologies, Because I Love Her: 34 Women Writers Reflect on the Mother-Daughter Bond; an as-yet-untitled father-daughter collection; the forthcoming Crush: 30 Real-life Tales of First Love Gone Wrong by our Best Young Adult Novelists; and The May Queen: Women on Life, Work, and Pulling it all Together in your Thirties. The May Queen was excerpted and praised in The New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, Redbook, Cosmopolitan, Bust, Daily Candy, and Babble.
Nicki grew up in the beautiful foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in eastern Tennessee. As a child, she treasured her summer adventures in Sweden, Mexico, and most often France. She has worked as an ESL teacher in a tiny village in the Pyrenees of southwestern France, an editorial assistant in London, and as an editor at Red Herring magazine, the George Lucas Educational Foundation’s magazine Edutopia, and McCann-Erickson in San Francisco. She lives with her husband and their sweetly irascible daughter in northern California. For news and updates, visit
